Sit Down Saturday (movie mashup edition) with Cheryl Harper

Since I already told you a bit about Heart's Refuge on Monday, I thought I'd do something fun today. (And don't forget the giveaway which ends today! Winners announced tomorrow so make sure you've entered!) Here's a little more info on the book...if you could take bits and pieces of several movies and mash them together.

If you believe a little time and distance from high school can take Patrick Dempsey from Can't Buy Me Love to McDreamy, you should meet Will Banks, former math nerd.

Or if you ever wished Elle Woods had decided to go to Harvard for a different reason than to win back her man, maybe you'd like to meet Sarah Hillman. She found the reason to change her life and then she found the guy.

Or you think a dog can change everything...

Or you understand that love in a small town where everyone knows your history can be a challenge but it's worth the hard work (especially if Harry Connick, Jr., is waiting for you). And that family is worth sacrifice. And that no matter how things look, you can't let go of hope...

Then you might try Heart's Refuge.

Her life has turned upside down

Back in high school, Sarah Hillman was a rich girl who protected herself by always being on the attack. Now her father's skipped town, the money's gone and she's sleeping in her office. Too bad the only person she can turn to has every reason to reject her.

Will Barnes isn't a gangly math nerd anymore. He's a financial advisor and a father, and when Sarah shows up in his office, he threatens to kick her out. And yet, Will agrees to help. But if Sarah falls for this kind, strong man, she'll have to stay in Holly Heights, a town where everyone knows her…and hates her.
