Cover reveal for Carousel Nights by Amie Denman

I love amusement parks like a kid loves ice cream. (Okay...I love ice cream, too). I could blame my parents for this--they're the ones who took me to Walt Disney World in Florida when I was only seven. And then there were the four summers I worked at a theme park. Yes, all the carousel music and carnival food somehow got imprinted on my brain.

What's a gal to do? Write a series that takes place in my very own amusement park: Starlight Point. I made up my own amusement park! Writing is so much fun...

Just in time for this blog post, I received the official cover art for my August release Carousel Nights. Here it is!

I'm crazy about it, and I think it captures the feel of the book. That's Mel Preston you see with his arm around June Hamilton. He's the head of maintenance at Starlight Point, and she shares ownership of the amusement park with her brother and sister. She also shares a past with Mel.

Here's the back cover description to give you an idea:

June Hamilton left home to pursue her dream of dancing on Broadway. Seven years later, she has one regret: Mel Preston, her teenage crush and onetime summer love. Now a single dad and the head of maintenance at Starlight Point, her family's amusement park, Mel's easy smile still makes her heart beat in triple time. But June came home with a plan. She would spend the summer revitalizing the park's aging theaters, then make a graceful exit back to the big city. Until Mel and his young son start making a powerful claim on her emotions, and June faces an impossible decision…

I was delighted when Under the Boardwalk released on January 1 of this year. I'm thrilled that Carousel Nights will release August 1. And I'm head over heels that Meet Me on the Midway arrives in December. What a great year I'm having!

I hope you'll join me for some summer love at Starlight Point. You don't need a seat belt or a lap bar, and you don't have to wait until the ride comes to a complete stop.

Happy Reading!
Amie Denman

  14. That is a beautiful cover, Amy. In Under the Boardwalk, you did a great job of showing the hard work and headaches of running an amusement park without taking away the magic, and I LOVED the characters.
