Happy Book Birthday To Us! by Carol Ross & Amy Vastine

Happy book birthday to us, happy book birthday to us, happy book birthday Amy & Carol, you’re super awesome and cool! All right, yes, the end could use some tweaking, but you get the point. Amy and I are super excited to share another book release month! To celebrate, we’re getting up close and personal with our April stories, Love Songs and Lullabies and Bachelor Remedy, and their starring characters.

To Start Things Off, Let's Barely Scratch the Surface (But in a good way!)

What sweetly superficial thing(s) does your heroine like about your hero? And vice versa?

Ally likes Tag’s Mariner’s baseball T-shirt and his green-brown eyes that change colors.

Tag likes Ally’s mad basketball skills and her love of cats.

Piper likes Sawyer’s boyish grin and those brown eyes of his.

Sawyer likes the way Piper commands a stage and the confidence she shows when she’s standing in front of so many people.

If these books had theme songs, what would they be?

Bachelor Remedy ~ Loving You Easy by Zac Brown Band.

Love Songs and Lullabies ~ What Ifs by Kane Brown

Girl Talk with Piper & Ally

What would Piper say is Sawyer’s greatest weakness?

Piper would say it’s the resentments he has towards his mother. His abandonment issues cause a lot of trouble for the two of them.

What would Ally say Tag’s greatest weakness?

Ally would say that Tag puts the needs of others a bit too far above his own. (Don’t worry, she helps him prioritize!)

What’s the nicest thing Sawyer has ever said to Piper?

Well, she sure waited a long time to hear him say, “I want to be a family. Will you be part of my family?”

What’s the nicest thing Tag has ever said to Ally?

“It’s like I’ve been waiting my entire life for you, only I didn’t know it…”

Hero Quick Quiz with Sawyer & Tag

Tailored suit or jeans and T?

Sawyer – jeans and T for sure!
Tag – jeans and T

Dogs or cats?

Sawyer – dog (he misses his Lab named Scout while out on the road)
Tag cats

Fast car or pickup truck?

Sawyer - pickup
Tag - pickup

Cheeseburger & fries or steak & lobster?

Sawyer - Cheeseburger and fries and probably a nice cold beer to top it all off!
Tag - Steak, but instead of lobster it would be some kind of fresh Alaskan seafood!

Date Night!

Where would (or did) these couples go on the perfect date?

On their first date, Tag takes Ally to dinner and a movie. It’s perfect because Ally mentions to him that she’s only been to a movie a theater a few times in her life and to get to a theater from where they live takes effort! Ally is smitten.

Since Piper and Sawyer are famous, dating out in public isn’t easy. The perfect date would be taking a couple horses out on Sawyer’s farm and maybe having a picnic lunch where they could talk and laugh. Sawyer always knows how to make Piper laugh.

Their engagement is a sham…

But their baby-to-be isn’t!

Country music stars Sawyer Stratton and Piper Starling are headed for the top of the charts. But then their course shifts unexpectedly…toward parenthood! The only way to keep Piper’s pregnancy from making the wrong headlines is to set the proverbial date. But how can Piper go through with a fake engagement when her feelings for Sawyer are anything but?

and the cure for a perennial bachelor?

    1. Thank you, Laurie! We love these stories. It was fun trying to come up with a theme song. I'll admit, I may have spent a little too much time listening to some of my favorite artists. Zac Brown Band is one of my favorite bands of all time.

  7. Happy book birthday! And I have to admit, I'm a little tired today because I sat up late finishing Love Songs and Lullabies. When Liam showed up at the end, I burst into tears. That book tore me up from beginning to end! I'm starting Bachelor Remedy tonight, so I expect to be tired again tomorrow, lol.
