Sit-Down Saturday with Callie Endicott

He’s falling for his clients’ legal guardian…

But can business and love ever mix?

Signing a young sister and brother to his new talent agency could be a great move for Adam Wilding, especially when he meets their legal guardian. Cassie Bryant’s first priority is her niece’s and nephew’s welfare. But she herself remains a mystery. Can Adam convince this prickly, stubborn, utterly appealing woman they’re not as different as she thinks?

Goodreads reviewer of FATHER OF THE TWINS: “Loved this book…I even cried in part of it” (Ann - 5 Stars)

Hello! When I learned Harlequin SuperRomance would end in June 2018, I wasn’t sure what would happen with the remaining three books of my Emerald City Stories series. I was especially happy when I learned they would be published by Harlequin Heartwarming. The tender, wholesome tone of Heartwarming novels make me feel right at home. There are distinct differences between the two Harlequin lines, but they both have longer formats, making it possible to still have a subplot and explore characters in greater depth than with shorter stories.

Life has been busy since the move to Heartwarming with family, outside work, writing and community activities. Among other things, the Pink Heart Society was interested in the transition an author makes when moving to a new romance line and asked me to write about the challenges for their January 2018 newsletter. Then in May I was invited to participate with the Heartwarming Author Blog. I’m still trying to get my ducks in a row when it comes to social media (actually, my social media ducks are escaping all over the place), so it was great being able to join an established blog.

My first Emerald City story, MOONLIGHT OVER SEATTLE, was a January 2018 SuperRomance release. The second is this month’s, A FATHER FOR THE TWINS. Emerald City Stories are about four friends who switch careers to buy a talent agency. They’re determined to prove themselves and find opportunities for clients who might not receive them otherwise.

The following is an excerpt from A FATHER FOR THE TWINS:

Glen turned to Cassie, his face no longer looking as if the end of the world was imminent. "I’m hungry. Can we get a burger on the way home?”
“I’d like to talk with your aunt about something,” Adam told him. “There’s food in the lounge. If you look in the very back of the bottom cupboard to the right of the refrigerator, you’ll find my personal stash of dried fruit and nuts. There are a few chocolate chunks thrown in for flavor. Help yourself.”
      “Thanks.”
Adam closed the door behind Glen and sat next to Cassie. “He’s quite a kid.”
“You handled that well,” she replied, her eyes filled with admiration. “I appreciate it.”
In a strange way, he felt as if he’d been knighted.

My next manuscript is due in July, which means I’m frantically writing, but I always love hearing from readers--please visit my Facebook page at www.facebook.com/callie.endicott.author. Facebook now appears to be allowing me to enter more information (until now, it hasn't let me do much except postings), so I’ll be filling in the blanks as time allows.

Have a terrific summer, everyone!

Callie Endicott

This is where I want to spend my summer!

    1. The series idea started because of a character in my book, AT WILD ROSE COTTAGE. The heroine's sister is a supermodel and I started wondering what would happen when someone like that decides to change his or her life completely. One idea led to another and soon I was working on the Emerald City Stories. Thanks for the welcome!

    1. You're right. I have a couple beautiful places to visit when I want to change up my location for writing (laptops were a wonderful invention, no more being chained to the desk). Sometimes it's great stimulation for writing; sometimes I just want to sit and enjoy. Thanks for the welcome.
