It's because when I'm hip deep in writing one romance and editing another I find it a little confusing to then read someone else's romance. So it's nice to sit down with a completely different genre. That's partly because I love authors like Agatha Christie, Dorothy Sayers, and Donna Andrews. And partly because I really ONLY like the sweet (heartwarming) romances, and it's hard to find well-written, professionally edited, sweet romances, outside of the Harlequin Heartwarming line.
