An Alaskan Proposal is the fourth book in the Northern
Lights series. In this story, Sabrina Bell has lost her job when the upscale
department store chain where she worked as a buyer went bankrupt. Eventually,
she finds a position as a management trainee for a chain of outdoor outfitters,
and her first assignment is in the Anchorage store.
Trouble is, in order to get the job, she might have exaggerated
her outdoor experience a tad, and the new company is known for their passion for camping, fishing, and hiking. After an explosive mistake at the
company teambuilder, Sabrina decides she needs to learn basic outdoor skills, and
fast. She proposes a bargain with survival instructor Leith Jordan. He’ll teach
her to be “outdoorsy” and she’ll help him out with a family situation.
In this story, Leith’s well-mannered German Shepherd develops
a huge crush on Sabrina’s troublesome little terrier. I was so happy the dogs made the cover, because I love to include dogs in my stories. In fact, dogs are major characters in all the Northern Lights stories so far. Just for
fun, I thought I’d see if you can match the dog with the story.
HINT—An Alaskan Proposal has two dogs, and one of the dogs below
spans two books.
Post your answer below in the comments, and I’ll randomly
select one commenter to receive a signed copy of one Northern Lights book—winner’s
choice. Please check back on this post on Monday when I’ll announce the winner.
1)
The Alaskan Catch A) Talkeetna
2)
A Gift for Santa B)
Kimmik
3)
Alaskan Hideaway C)
Blossom
4)
An Alaskan Proposal D) Boomer
Can he teach her
survival skills—
without endangering his heart?
When Sabrina Bell taps Leith Jordan for a crash course in conquering the great Alaskan outdoors, he figures he’s on safe ground. They’re polar opposites and his spectacular home state’s just a pit stop for the hotshot fashionista. So no one’s more surprised than Leith when he starts falling for her. Now he’s a man with a plan: get Sabrina to fall in love with Alaska…and, hopefully, with him.

Oh, I love this series...
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you, Liz.
DeleteDitto what Liz said. I love learning so much about Alaska. I remember when Debbie Macomber wrote the dozen Alaskan bachelor stories---how much I learned about the state. Keep the books coming.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Roz. I've read several of Debbie's books, set in tiny villages. Fun!
DeleteSuch an evocative cover, Beth! And I love the doggie silhouettes on the tent. Congratulations on this new release and the end (😨😨)of a wonderful series! Looking forward to the new one.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Janice! I was so excited when they included the dogs! No, there's at least one more coming out in July, and I'm working on the proposal for another one that starts out with them stranded together in a remote cabin.
DeleteThere's something about dogs--and other animals--showing up in books that's just irresistible. Congratulations on the new book!
ReplyDeleteI do love animals in books. Thanks, Virginia!
