Can you believe it’s June already? With so much
going on in our country and around the world, time has certainly slipped by us.
Still, life goes on and we continue to be grateful for the good things that come
our way. And speaking of good news, I’m excited to announce that I just signed
a four book contract with Heartwarming!
I’m so thrilled because I love this line. Heartwarming
checks all the boxes for the books I love to read; from humor to serious issues, messy family dynamics to those searching for a family, to the couples who learn to fall in love.
And one important point I must add, I’ve meet many of the authors who write for
Heartwarming and they are the most wonderful and awesome women you’ll ever
meet!
In my future books, I’ll be featuring stories set in a
small mountain town in the north Georgia mountains. My family and I have been
traveling to this beautiful section of the country for years and when I first
came up with the idea to create a town featuring some of the places I’ve visited,
it was a dream come true. One of the perks of being a writer is sharing my
love for a particular location by using it as a backdrop in my books.
As you can see, I have a wealth of beautiful scenery to work with!
In my Business of Weddings series, the stories took
place in a sleepy beach town very similar to the ones near where I live. In my
Meet Me At the Altar series, two of the books were set in this mountain town I
named Golden. I’ve already created so many charming businesses, outdoor adventure getaways, and
quirky secondary characters. Readers can return to Golden and find out what’s
been happening with the previous couples they’ve met along with brand new couples you’ll fall in love with.
As the summer begins, I hope you’re able to take the opportunity
to sit back and read a good book, hopefully while at the beach or on the back
porch where you can sip a tall glass of iced tea. I don’t know about you, but
books are the one escape I know I can rely on. No matter what is going on in
life, a good book can lift your spirits and touch your heart like nothing else
can. Dig into that To Be Read pile if you have one and get busy! I have a stack
beside my bed and I plan on taking my own advice to start reading the wonderful
adventures before me.

DeleteCongratulations, Tara. I love the North Georgia Mountains as that's practically in my backyard. My family loves the waterfalls in the region, the apple orchards, and the day hikes. Thanks for sharing your great news.
