Leaving Brookhollow...

I can't believe that it was almost three years ago that I got 'the call'. The life-changing call from Victoria Curran that turned my single title homeless story about Luke & Victoria into a six book small town Heartwarming series.

Love, Lies & Mistletoe is the sixth and final book in my Brookhollow series and saying Goodbye to the series was bittersweet. I love each of the characters I created in the small town and I know I wrote the HEA I set out to write...but I know I will definitely miss writing about this small town.

This last book is Heather Corbett's story. She has been a secondary character in the series since book 1 and my intent was always to end the series with her HEA, (spoiler alert) with her leaving Brookhollow. It is definitely a symbolic full-circle as the series opens with her best friend, Victoria returning to the small town.

There was a lot of pressure with this one. Fans of the series are amazing and I'm so grateful for the readers who looked forward to each instalment as they released. So, I wanted to wrap up the series in a way that would leave them with a warm feeling when they turned that last page.

I hope I succeeded:)

Happy Reading! And thank you all for hanging out in Brookhollow with me:) Maybe we will meet there again someday;)

**Giveaway** Comment below to be entered a signed print copy of LOVE, LIES & MISTLETOE and a Starbucks Gift Card! Winner announced here on Monday:)

This small-town sheriff has big-city secrets
As a detective in New York, Jacob Marx had been deep under cover in a drug cartel…until a bust went terribly wrong. Now posing as a good guy is proving even tougher. Since the force sent him to Brookhollow to lie low as a deputy sheriff, he's been struggling to stay detached from the townspeople. Especially Heather, the gorgeous, high-heeled bartender at the local pool hall who asks too many questions. Tempted as he is, he can't allow himself to connect with her or anyone else. His career and safety are at stake. Of course, a little flirting couldn't hurt… Could it?

  1. Aw, Jennifer, I can only imagine how hard it is to say goodbye to your characters after six books. I had trouble doing it with just three in my K-9 trilogy.

For readers who missed buying your backlist titles through the recent online promotion can still purchase them at a total 30% off through the Harlequin website. I also look forward to reading your other November release, the Winter Wedding Bells anthology.

Best wishes with your release and your current WIP, whatever it is!

  2. Congratulations on your sixth book, Jennifer. That's quite an accomplishment. I can imagine how difficult it is to say goodbye when you've spent so much time with the characters.
I'm happy Kate mentioned your backlist titles. I'd love to read the series from the beginning.
The premise for Heather's story sounds so intriguing. I'm curious, do you plan to write another multi-book series?

    1. Hi Jill!! Thank you-I love Heather and Jake's story. It was my first dip into Romantic Suspense Waters lol:)
I've also written a three-book MMA sports romance series for Penguin's Intermix line-a higher heat level. And next year I'm releasing a new 5 book small town series with hockey heroes from Grand Central's Forever line. :)
I hope you will check out the Brookhollow series and I really hope you enjoy them. Three of the six titles are holiday themed, so it's a great time to read them lol:)

    1. Hi Kim:) The first book in the series was lighter and flirty in tone, and then the books got a little more emotional as they progressed lol, so I deliberately made book 6-LOVE, LIES & MISTLETOE another lighter book in tone. Definitely still emotional as the final book in the series but not as much as a tear-jerker as Falling for Leigh is or Fighting for Keeps lol:) xo

  39. Congratulations on the release of the sixth and final book in the series. I can imagine a bit of sadness as you leave these characters behind because I am sure they are just like family to you and at the same time I can imagine your excitement as you move on to this new chapter in your life and author life as well. In a way I know how you feel, through my son if you can imagine. My son has been in band since 5th grade. He moved onto to middle school band and then high school band. He then was accepted to the University of Maryland and of course was in the band there for the years he was there. Today he played for the last time since he is a senior and will be graduating in May. He has not chosen a profession in music. He is going to be a police officer. So in a way it's like you, moving on but starting an exciting new chapter. I wish you the best of luck in your new series and all life brings you. I am looking forward to reading this. I Love Harlequin Heartwarming books and a Christmas book is a fun bonus. Sincerely, Deanne
