It's hard to believe we've reached the final month of 2020. December is finally here and I'd like to think that all those beautiful Christmas lights adorning houses and trees are symbolic of seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. It's true that we're not out of the woods yet with this pandemic and we have to be even more vigilant and careful as winter comes, but the holiday season has always brought with it the gift of hope and healing.
When we're lucky, life gives us second chances. Whether it's a another chance to wear that mask, take an exam, get parenting right, apply for a job or a million other things, the sweetest second chance is when love finds a way.
Those of you who subscribe to Harlequin Books get to read new releases a month early, so you may get my January 2021 release, the third book in my Turtleback Beach series, this month. Second Chance Christmas is not only about soul mates finally coming together, but also about a young boy learning how to embrace life again after the loss of his mother. For those of you who love beaches, you'll experience Christmas small seaside town style and, as always, there will be endearing pets. Dogs play a big role in this series and this time the star pooch is a big, fluffy Newfoundland water rescue dog.

We are all looking at a winter where we have to spend more time at home, safe in our 'bubble', but we'll get through it. We are resilient. Reach for board games, baking and books. Escape in a story and let it remind you that life comes around. There's light at the end of the tunnel. And love keeps us going.
Wishing you all a safe and healthy holiday season,
Coming Jan 2021
A beachside Christmas
Brings unexpected gifts!
A second chance. That’s what former navy SEAL Damon Woods asks for when Zuri Habib comes to Turtleback Beach with a nephew who looks just like him. After her sister’s death, Zuri believes Caden deserves to know his father—even if he did break her teenage heart. Can Damon and Zuri forgive each other and give a grieving boy the family he needs this Christmas?
